Credit Union Cherry Blossom Virtual Run 2021
The Credit Union Cherry Blossom is having a Virtual Run this Spring (in addition to our in-person race which has been moved to Sep. 12, 2021! For details on the in-person race, Click Here).
All the Virtual Run Details
Why: The Credit Union Cherry Blossom has become known as the "Runner's Rite of Spring," and we don't want to have our runners miss out on running among the cherry blossoms at their peak. We hope that many of our runners will participate in the Virtual Run, and then come back to join us in person to enjoy the "Runner's Delight of Fall" on Sept. 12.
Who: The Virtual Run is open to anyone who registers. There will NOT be a lottery for the Virtual Run. Registration will open on February 1, 2021. There will be an option to choose either the Ten Mile Run or 5K Run-Walk.
How Much? The entry fee for the Virtual Run is $35. All finishers will be mailed out a Credit Union Cherry Blossom Virtual Run cotton t-shirt and medal. There will be an opportunity to upgrade to a technical t-shirt for those who want one.
When: You may complete your Virtual Run at any time during the entire span of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, extending from Saturday, March 20 through 11:59 P.M. on Sunday, April 11, 2021. Details about special features of the Virtual Run will be sent out in mid-January before Virtual Run registration opens on Monday, February 1.
Virtual Run Registration
Virtual Run registration will open on February 1, 2021. The fee for entry into the Virtual Run will be $35, and includes mail out of your t-shirt and whatever add-ons you purchase (upgrade t-shirt, medal). If you register before February 28, 2021, you will receive your swag (medal and t-shirt) by race day. You can still enter after February 28, but we can’t guarantee that you will receive your swag by the date of your run.

Training Programs for the Virtual Run (Mar. 20 – Apr. 11)
All registrants in the Virtual Run will be assigned automatically to a FREE on-line training program offered by RunCoach. This program is for runners of all levels. During race registration, you will be given the opportunity to opt out of this program, or sign up for the RunCoach Gold Program for $20. This program supplements the online coaching with access to a certified Runcoach coach for personal consultation about your training.
How to Do Your Virtual Run:
Run Your Race Distance
- You can run either Ten Miles or 5K for your Virtual Run. You don't have to decide which distance you will do when you register; you can wait until your chosen race day and run whichever distance you feel is right for your fitness level. When you submit your results, be sure to use the dropdown to indicate if you ran 5K or Ten Miles. There are no time limits for either race.
- Run on any course at any time between March 20 and 11:59 P.M. Sunday, April 11, 2020. For those who want to stay indoors but see the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run course, we hope to have available a video of the course for running 10 miles on your treadmill.
Submit Your Results
A form will be provided here so you can submit your results starting on March 20. You must complete your run by 11:59 P.M. on Sunday, April 11, 2021, but you may use the form to submit your results anytime up until 11:59 PM on Friday, April 30, 2021. Again, be sure to indicate on the form if you ran Ten Miles or 5K so our results for both events will be accurate.

You will have the opportunity to view the results in both list format and in RunPix graphical format after your run. We will also be posting a photo and video gallery of everyone's run, so be sure to submit photos and videos when you submit your results!
